Introducing Enviroheat® — the energy efficient hot water heater powered by heat pump technology.

This innovative system is now available in Australia and has a proven track record in Europe, even in temperatures as low as -7°C. Outperforming other systems in its class, it can deliver up to a remarkable 71% energy savings compared to conventional water heaters. Certified by the Australian Government Clean Energy Regulator, Enviroheat qualifies you for attractive government rebates, reducing your investment significantly.

Enviroheat's HP series features an advanced control system that is packed with convenient and easy to use features. It can be programmed to maximise the utilisation of rooftop solar power while ensuring an abundant supply of hot water on demand. The automatic sanitisation feature protects your family from waterborne bacteria like legionella.

Experience the benefits of Enviroheat, including quiet operation, smart controls, superior UV protection, and take advantage of generous government rebates.

Make the natural choice for an energy-efficient home and enjoy the comfort and savings Enviroheat brings.

How do heat pumps work?

Heat pumps operate by reversing the principle of a refrigerator. Instead of removing heat from an enclosed space, they extract heat from the surrounding air and transfer it to water in a tank. This technology allows efficient utilisation of heat from the air, even in extremely low temperatures like -7°C.

In the case of Enviroheat, its exceptional efficiency enables it to convert 1kW of electricity into over 4kW of heat.

Enjoy free hot water
powered by your solar power PV system

The Enviroheat system is the perfect partner for your roof top solar system. Whether you have already installed solar power or are considering it in the future, the clear choice to ensure a low energy home is Enviroheat.

Our advanced control system is equipped with an automatic timer that allows you to maximise solar power utilisation. A second timer allows for an early morning boost to ensure you never run out of hot water.

Soak up free energy
from the sun

You can store up to 18kW* of heat energy in one Enviroheat tank ready to use when the sun has gone down.

Get the FAQs
— frequently asked questions

  • The Enviroheat heat pump is made by the world’s largest appliance manufacturer and is made to European and Australian standards. The reason that Enviroheat appears to be so cost effective is because it is the worlds biggest selling heat pump, as rated by Euromonitor!

  • The Enviroheat system has been manufactured for over a decade and has been sold in China, Europe and now in Australia and New Zealand. It is a very mature product and has excellent reliability.

  • The Enviroheat system is equipped with a timer that can be programmed to only run during daylight hours, thus making full use of your free energy. The highly insulated storage tank will keep the stored water hot overnight, ready for hot showers in the morning.

  • The average family in Australia spends approximately ~$900 per year on water heating as defined by Australian Standards. Installing an Enviroheat heat pump will save you up to $650 per year if you don’t have solar power and up to a whopping $850 if you use the free energy that you are producing if you have solar power installed.

  • Once your installer programs that system for you, there is nothing for you to do as it literally controls itself. Even sanitation of the tank, to guard against legionella, is automatic. Just set and forget. If you need to change any settings to suit your usage pattern, there are instructional videos on this website.

  • Enviroheat heat pumps are similar to a split air conditioning system and make a similar amount of noise. Whilst daytime operation is never a noise issue, any noise at night can be problematic so we always recommend using the systems timers to limit running hours between 6am and 10pm to ensure that neighbours are not affected.

  • Just ask your plumber, as Enviroheat heat pumps are available from quality plumbers Australia wide.

  • At Enviroheat, we understand that many regions in Australia have poor water quality that will affect anode life and ultimately lead to premature tank failure. This is why all Enviroheat systems come with 2 full length anodes for maximum protection.

STC rebates
— what are they and how do I benefit?

To increase the adoption of more environmentally friendly, energy efficient hot water systems, the Australian Government has implemented the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) which is sometimes referred to as “The Solar Rebate Program”.

If you install a hot water system that has gone through the rigorous Government certification process, you will receive an electronic form of currency called “Small-scale Technology Certificates” (STCs).

In most cases, you will receive an immediate point of sale discount on your purchase so not only will you enjoy the energy cost savings of your new system, your investment will be significantly reduced.

Some States provide additional rebates and incentives that compliment the STC's program. Your local Enviroheat representative can advise you on any additional incentives in your area.
